Victorian House Styles
No account of the houses in Marin County would be complete without acknowledging the rich architectural legacy evident in its extravagant Victorian homes.
Though California has always been known for its penchant for the new and a tendency to break from tradition, Marin County's eclectic mix of old and new is typical of the Bay area. Among the Modernist homes, Ranchers and California Bungalows are fine examples of Queen Anne, Eastlake, Gothic, Italianate, Classical Revival, Romanesque and Second Empire homes.
