| San Anselmo
San
Anselmo was incorporated in 1907, and it is one of the more
delightful Marin towns. While it is larger than many of
its neighbors, San Anselmo retains a small-town charm. The
downtown area is very small, but offers a variety of amenities.
San Anselmo Ave, parallel to Sir Francis Drake Blvd., is
the town's center and it is filled with a variety of charming
shops, cafes, galleries, restaurants and boutiques. Known
as the antique capital of Northern California, there are
more than 100 antique dealers, and the rows of antique shops
will keep you busy for hours. In addition, there
are a host of annual local events; the
Annual Art and Wine Festival, the Antique Dealers Fair and
the Country Fair Day, are some of the more well known. San
Anselmo also has several parks, and community groups.
