Ross
is a tiny town tucked just beyond Kentfield with a quaint
downtown area centered on the Ross Common. The lovely little
downtown has a grocery store (the
Ross Grocery has been operated by the same family since WWII),
post office, butcher, florist, a few small cafes and offices.
The locally owned stores contribute
a strong feeling of community to this causally chic town.
The Marin Art & Garden Center is a
beautiful ten-acre site that houses several non-profit community
groups, and offers many activities including a playground
and picnic areas. Ross also features some great hiking
and biking, and some of the most prominent estates anywhere.
