Corte Madera

Corte Madera is hard to define. It became a town in 1917, and although best known to outsiders for its shopping centers, Corte Madera is extremely diverse. In addition to The Corte Madera Town Center and The Village, Corte Madera is home to lush open space, bordering wetlands, the 22 acre Town Park, the Corte Madera State Ecological Reserve, Ring Mountain and more. Corte Madera has been a pioneer in the art of land preservation. Corte Madera maintains a small town feel, and there is a strong sense of community.

The Larkspur School District serves both Corte Madera and Larkspur. High test scores, small classes and a variety of optional programs have helped it rank among the state's best. District enrollment is a little over 900 students. The school district consists of two award-winning schools: Neil Cummins School in Corte Madera and Hall Middle School in Larkspur. High School students go to Redwood High in the Tamalpais High School District.

WEATHER
 

Corte Madera is a bit more inland, and fog is less of an issue. The average temperatures range from 45 to 80 degrees more or less. Highs get into the mid 80s from June to September, and the coldest months are December and January.
